Brief description about Narmadha
Narmadha aged 16 a dalit girl from Velgapuram village, Poondi Block in Tiruvallur District. She studying 11thstandard in Govt. Hr. Sec School, Uthukottai. She is a CFAM facilitator. She creates awareness about children rights and protection among children, parents and stakeholders in different forums. She is also a member of Village Level Child Protection Committee ( Govt. formed committee) and Village Development Committee( VDC). She is an instrumental for rescue of 4 child labourers and all four are presently studying. Two child marriages prevented by this CFAM group. Village amenities improved due to the effort of CFAM group. She is aiming to make her village as “Child friendly village”. She is a very talented speaker.
