In February 2015, a special medical camp has been organised for gypsy families at Periyakuppam in Tiruvallur. It was jointly organised by the District Child Protection Unit, Public Health Unit and IRCDS. District Collector Thiru. K. Veeraragavarao and Sub Collector Shri. Ragulnath participated.
