Tiruvallur District Administration, Department of Social Welfare & Women Empowerment , District Child Protection Unit and IRCDS with the support of Children Believe organised a workshop for Panchayat/ Traditional / Opinion making and Religious leaders on " Prevention of Child marriage" on 26th October 2022 @ Tiruvallur.
District Collector Dr.Alby John Varghese I.A.S. has delivered a Presidential address. Tiruvallur Sub Collector Maha Bharathi I.A.S., Secretary cum Senior Civil Judge, District Legal Services Authority delivered a Special address . Children Believe- India Country Director Ms. Nancy Anabel delivered the Keynote address . Children /Youth Club representatives , Advocate Suba.Thenpandyan and Brindavanam Federation for child protection also participated and delivered the talk.
Traditional/ Opinion making/ Panchayat and Religious Leaders assured to create awareness among people and ensure Child Marriage free worship places and child friendly communities.
