IRCDS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University)

As part of celebrating 40 years of dedicated service, IRCDS marked a significant milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai (Deemed to be University) on 12th Jan 2026. The MoU was signed by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Uma Sekar, in the presence of Registrar Dr Senthil Kumar, Professor and Head, Department of Environmental Health Engineering, Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Public Health Dr. S. Sankar, Faculty members Dr. G. Thangavel, and Dr. Vidya Shanmugam. From IRCDS, Mr. Stephen, Mrs. Preethi Titus and Mr. Vijayan were present.

This collaboration focuses on providing fieldwork and internship opportunities for SRIHER students at IRCDS, along with joint initiatives in teaching, research and development, seminars, workshops, and outreach activities, fostering knowledge sharing, networking, and interdisciplinary learning for meaningful social impact in the field of Education, Public Health, Community Development and Environmental Protection.

IRCDS, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Vidiyal Construction and Unorganised Workers Union, organised a workshop on 20th December at Villupuram with the support of Azim Premji Foundation

The programme featured informative addresses by officials from the Assistant Commissioner of Labour, Child Protection Officer, Bank of India, Tiruvallur CWC Chairperson, and a Member of the Tiruvallur Juvenile Justice Board, focusing on the rights, welfare, and social security of migrant brick kiln workers.

The Qualcomm team visited IRCDS- Qualcomm supported schools in Villupuram District on 23 December 2025. Senior Manager (Facilities) Shri. Ramesh and CSR Lead Shri. Murali visited Government Model Higher Secondary School and Government High School, Sirumadurai, and felicitated the sports courts, wash area construction, science lab furniture, language lab speakers, and laptops for teachers. The warm reception by students, Headmasters, and teachers, along with the team’s encouraging words, was truly inspiring.
