A Mobile Migrant Labour Facilitation Centre (MLFC) has been initiated by the Tiruvallur District Administration, in coordination with the Labour Department and Integrated Rural Community Development Society ( IRCDS ) Tiruvallur based NGO. This MLFC is to create awareness among them about Govt social security schemes, Services ( Mother and child health, Anganwadi services, Education in their native language, Insurance ) offered by the Govt for interstate and intra state for all Migrant workers . This MLFC (Van along with the pre recorded message Tamil, Hindi and Oriya with Tamil/ Hindi/ Oriya/ English speaking persons with Laptops and internet facilities) will go to their workplaces and enables them to register in the eSHRAM https://eshram.gov.in/, ISM portal https://labour.tn.gov.in/ism/ for inter- state migrant workers and in unorganized workers welfare board. Migrant Labours can register and make use of the existing Government welfare Schemes. This program has been inaugurated by our District Collector Dr.Alby John Varghese, I.A.S. on today (24.04.2023) at Collectorate. Also our District Collector said that any other requirement or grievance for the Migrant Labours will be addressed immediately through this MLFC. In this program Smt.S.Sudha, Assistant Commissioner of Labour(Enforcement),Tiruvallur. Mr. P.Stephen, Director - IRCDS and other officials from the Labour department participated.
