Stella Maris College's Master of Social Work students participated in a week-long Rural Camp in IRCDS program villages . The camp, inaugurated by Tmt. Lalitha, District Program Officer, ICDS on August 21st, saw government officials from DSWO, DCPU, and ICDS discussing welfare schemes. The students visited BDO Office, PHC, schools, Anganwadi centers, and the Panchayat office to grasp government schemes
Awareness created among students and public about hygiene, health and discouraging child marriage while emphasizing the value of education beyond the 10th and 12th grades. Using street plays and house visits, these messages were effectively communicated.
