Learning Improvement Project with the support of Qualcomm CSR

With the valuable CSR support of Qualcomm India Private Limited, IRCDS has implemented a Learning Improvement Project in two schools affected by Cyclone Fengal - Government Model Higher Secondary School, Emappur, and Government High School, Sirumadurai in Villupuram District with the approval of the Education Department, Government of Tamil Nadu

The initiative included the establishment of SMART Classrooms, a Computer Lab, Science Labs, Library, On-Grid Solar Power System, New Toilet Blocks, Bore well, Wall painting and the distribution of Sports Equipment, Audio Systems, and Band Instruments

The facilities were inaugurated on 23rd April 2024 by Shri S. Ramesh, Senior Manager (Facilities), Qualcomm, in the presence of Shri K. Murali, CSR Lead, Qualcomm Chennai.

We thank Qualcomm for their commitment to enhancing education and infrastructure in government schools.

A DIZ volunteer from Germany has joined IRCDS as part of a volunteer engagement.

Ms. Charlotte Fusenig from DIZ, Germany arrived on 8th April 2025 to extend her voluntary services with IRCDS for a period of four months. She was warmly welcomed by our staff team at Chennai Airport and the IRCDS Office.

iOPEX Technologies extended support under CSR

On 5th April 2025 : iOPEX Technologies extended support under CSR

iOPEX Technologies, in collaboration with IRCDS, extended support under CSR by distributing dry ration kits, solar lamps, school bags, and sports items such as volleyballs, skipping ropes, chessboards, and shuttlecock bats to 61 Scheduled Tribe (ST) families living in Bangarampettai village, Poondi Block .
